Fri., July 10th - Middle Eastern Buffet & Charity Night
FARE FOR US, FAIR FOR THEM
Join us for a night of exotic entertainment and delectable Middle Eastern fare and help Palestinian refugee youths receive fair opportunities.
Featuring live entertainment by well-renowned Middle Eastern Oriental dancers Sadia Hassan (www.bellyqueenjapan.com) and Yasmeen (http://yasmeen.blog33.fc2.com), followed by some sassy world beats by DJ Habibi, the night will be as fun as it will be insightful.
The non-profit organization Global Lives Project (http://globallives.org) Lebanon team has just returned from the Shatila refugee camp in Beirut and would like to share with you multimedia works made by Shatila’s youths and excerpts from a 24-hour documentary featuring a day in the life of 9-year old Palestinian refugee Jamila Jad.
Come from *6:30pm for entertainment while you tuck into Chef Andy’s super yummy Middle Eastern buffet (3,000yen, including a 1,000yen donation) OR *from 9:30pm for drinks and entertainment (minimum 500 yen donation at door)
There will be a raffle with some great prizes! Ninety percent of the proceeds will go to Social Care, a non-profit Shatila-based NGO committed to empowering Palestinian refugee youths (www.socialcare.org), and ten percent to the Global Lives Project.
